Marchesi Antinori Tenuta Guado al Tasso

One of the nine Marchesi Antinori estates, Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in Bolgheri DOC, in the east of Tuscany. The location is stunning, sitting on 790 acres. It is enchanting the moment you step out of your car;  you are welcomed into the estate with an arch surrounded by plants and greenery leading you to the wine shop and tasting room, restaurant and vineyards. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Vermentino Nero and Bianco.

We visited the wine shop and then sat at a quaint table outside to taste 2 varieties. The entire experience was lovely, romantic and peaceful. We then headed over to their on site restaurant Osteria del Tasso. In warmer months, they have outdoor seating on their patio immersing you into the surrounding vineyards. Here, we ordered a bottle of their signature Guado al Tasso. This wine is a must try*! For food, we started with a selection of cheese and for our main meals wild boar and gnocchi with a meat ragout. Everything was exceptional!
